The Pine Creek Baseball Diamonds in Waskatenau, Alberta, are more than just fields—they are home to a rich legacy of community spirit and record-breaking achievements. Boasting two fully developed baseball and softball diamonds, each complete with shale infields, fenced perimeters, dugouts, bleachers, a batting cage, electronic scoreboard, concession area, and showers, the facility offers everything needed for teams to enjoy a professional and comfortable experience.

In 2009, Waskatenau earned a place in the Guinness World Records by hosting the longest game of softball ever played, an extraordinary 115 hours and 3 minutes of continuous play. This monumental achievement, held from June 30 to July 5, wasn’t just a feat of endurance; it raised over a quarter-million dollars for the Cross Cancer Institute and the Stollery Children’s Hospital. The event, known as Home Run for Life, brought together players, volunteers, and supporters from across the community, setting an inspiring example of unity, perseverance, and dedication.
